The Indonesian Government's Attitude and Anticipation towards the Dynamics of the 2023 Global Economic Recession

Abstract

The weakening of the economy was the beginning of a recession which then affected countries in the world in terms of their domestic economies. This research aims to find out the government's attitude and anticipation in facing the global recession in 2023 and to find out the effectiveness of the government's efforts to provide material for evaluation and improvement in the future.  The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, sourced from literature studies. Efforts made by the government in dealing with the global recession include focusing on the household economy, controlling inflation through food estates, and promoting home garden planting movements. Prevention is also carried out in the financial sector.  Thus, the Indonesian government's strategy in facing the 2023 global recession relies on strengthening the domestic economy, financial stability, and inclusive and coordinated policies. This reflects a tough and adaptive attitude to challenging global economic dynamics.
